The Beginning

Our Founder Deanna, whilst attending one of the many legal leadership discussions, asked… “change is no longer an option for traditional professional services including legal services. The entire model needs to evolve and evolve fast. When are we going to bite the bullet?”.

The feedback was “We have always been doing it this way for a long time. Change does not happen overnight. We must be patient and focus on fundamental disciplines”.

After spearheading the Greater China IP Practice of the international firm, Hogan Lovells, for a no. of years, Deanna started the company to offer client driven IP services using a different model.

Deanna has been operating in the IP space for many years (with a law and science degree from New Zealand) and have been in Greater China since 1997. She focuses on advisory services relating to the international aspect of all types of IP assets, IP audits, ip training, ip supply chain management, management, commercial exploitation, development and enforcement of different types of intellectual property rights. This means being with the clients from IP inception right through the value cycle.

Having experienced as a management consultant prior to being in the IP space, she fully appreciates that to really help clients, we need to understand them on multiple levels and to incorporate legal & IP advice into their real business strategy.

She has been recognised as one of the leading 250 women in IP in the world (by the publication, Managing IP). And has been ranked as an IP expert for many consecutive years in different directories including legal500; Chambers; World Trade Mark Review. She currently serves on a no. of committees including IP committees for overseas governmental delegations.

In addition to being a professional executive coach, she is also a trainer in the risk management continuity professional development programme and active in business & legal management advisory work. She is able to combine legal, consulting and coaching services in her approach.
