Our Founder Deanna, whilst attending one of the many legal leadership discussions, asked… “change is no longer an option for traditional professional services including legal services. The entire model needs to evolve and evolve fast. When are we going to bite the bullet?”.
The feedback was “We have always been doing it this way for a long time. Change does not happen overnight. We must be patient and focus on fundamental disciplines”.
After spearheading the Greater China IP Practice of the international firm, Hogan Lovells, for a no. of years, Deanna started the company to offer client driven IP consulting services using a different model.
Deanna has been operating in the IP space for many years (with a law and science degree from New Zealand) and have been in Greater China since 1997. She focuses on advisory services relating to the international aspect of all types of IP assets, IP audits, ip training, ip supply chain management, management, commercial exploitation, development and enforcement of different types of intellectual property rights. This means being with the clients from IP inception right through the value cycle.
Having experienced as a management consultant prior to being in the IP space, she fully appreciates that to really help clients, we need to understand them on multiple levels and to incorporate legal & IP advice into their real business strategy.
She has been recognised as one of the leading 250 women in IP in the world (by the publication, Managing IP). And has been ranked as an IP expert for many consecutive years in different directories including legal500; Chambers; World Trade Mark Review. She currently serves on a no. of committees including IP committees for overseas governmental delegations.
In addition to being a certified professional executive coach (ICF PCC), she is also a trainer in professional risk management and active in board governance/advisory work. She combines legal, consulting and coaching services in her approach.
Georgia is a native Shanghai and moved to Hong Kong when she was 11 years old. Georgia was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2005 and had based in Hogan Lovell’s Shanghai office since then until 2017. She specializes in all areas of IP, both contentious and non-contentious, with a focus on litigation, in particular, in enforcing clients’ different types of IP rights against counterfeiters and managing administrative, civil and criminal actions in China. Georgia speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Shanghai. Georgia a China Attesting Officer and also able to practice law in the Greater Bay Area of China.
Georgia is very experienced in many areas of IP counselling including patents, trademarks, design and related technology advisory work. She also has a broad range of practice in handling commercial transactions, technology transfer, licensing, protection of trade secrets and employment-invention remuneration issues. Georgia has worked with clients from the fashion, educational products, consumer electronics, power and automation technologies, pharmaceutical and medical devices industry.
Alex is a seasoned business analyst with over 20 years of IT expertise in international business consulting with a focus on financial reporting and financial services delivery. His expertise is in delivering consistently high-quality and innovative solutions across diverse IT applications, including system software architectural design, software development, business transformation and process reengineering. Alex has held various key roles, including team lead, manager, and regional head of back-office applications. His leadership has been instrumental in spearheading organizational change and driving operating model designs.
